Our appreciation to Mr Rex Trayhorne AMRS of Romsey for allowing us to use his watercolour painting of the hospital chapel from 1988. The adjacent buildings have changed significantly but the image acts as an eye catching masthead as it shows of the chapel well.

The Friends are most grateful for a visit to the site by conservation specialist Ian Payne, director I.W Payne & Company Ltd and the advice offered.

Roger Jenkins [Royal Gloucester Lodge] for the donation from the sale of his booklet on the laying of the foundation stone ceremony of the Royal South Hants Hospital.

Ann MacGillivray a professional photographer [website www.solutions-southampton.co.uk] has photographed the interor and exterior of the chapel so that we can build a 'before and after' portfolio and has kindly allowed us to use her copyright images. Ann has experience of stone carving in Dorset and specialises in carvings portraying hands.

Dale Ingram MSc [Heritage Conservation] Director ConservationWorks UK Ltd has donated her service to prepare a ProBono historic survey of the chapel building which will become an essential resource when dealing with the future status and the listed building consent planning applications and in applying for building grants.
